KARACHI: Suicide rates have been steadily rising in Pakistan for several years. A talented blogger from Sindh, Sagar Gopang committed suicide lately.

The 23-year-old blogger was a student at Islamabad institution. He wrote in a suicide note that he was taking this move owing to financial difficulties. He went on to say that despite his best efforts, he was still unsuccessful.

Young people’s troubles must be addressed, and suicide prevention centres must be established where young people can discuss their problems with qualified professionals so that attempts of suicide must be thwarted.
